How to Twitter – Should You Automate Your Twitter Account?
When it comes to Twitter, there are many ways you can post your Tweets. You can manually log into your account and post your Tweet up to 140 characters or you can find a Twitter automation system such as Tweetlater to automate this for you.
Twitter automation comes in handy is if you don’t have a lot of time. You can use a Twitter automation service like TweetLater or TwitterFeed to post your tweets for you. What this service does is it will allow you to post several tweets and then you can schedule when each one is posted to Twitter throughout the day. You can also use Twitter automation for following people automatically when they follow you. You can also set it up to un-follow people who un-follow you. You can set up your account to send out a direct message to your new follower when they follow you thanking them for following you.
What should you put in your direct message? Some examples of the post that you might want to put it in auto-follow message are: Thanks for following me. I look forward to reading your Tweets. Read my profile for more information about me. You don’t necessarily want to post a sales pitch in your thank you for following response.
There are many services that allow you to rotate many different auto-follow messages. With twitter automationyou could have three or four different messages that will rotate through as you auto-follow people. These automation systems are great for people who are too busy. Businesses that are constantly networking and marketing online don’t have a lot of time to sit down and type out their messages over and over and over again, so automation is perfect for them..
One of the disadvantages of an auto-follow system is that some people may sense that a robot is sending that message out to them and they can lose trust with you. If you don’t answer people when they send you a reply, they are going to feel that it is just robots handling your account and they are not going to pay attention to what you are trying to say.
In closing, use this type of software with caution. Do not post marketing pitches when someone follows you. Listen to your followers and you will see great success with Twitter.
